To achieve the mandate of taking entrepreneurship to every home in Federal Capital Territory (FCT) and environs, Abuja Enterprise Agency (AEA) has positioned to set up liaison office in six Area Councils.
The objective is to ensure wider reach of the agency’s programmes and activities. As a pilot, AEA set up a liaison office in the Gwagwalada Area Council Secretariat, which provided office space within the building.
The office is also intended to serve the people of Gwagwalada, Kwali and Abaji axis.
In an opening remark during a sensitization campaign on the matter last week,  Acting Managing Director/Chief Executive Officer (MD/CEO),AEA, Mr. Chudi Ugwuada Ezirigwe said the relevance of the agency’s presence in Gwagwalada Area Council cannot be over-emphasized.
He thanked residents of the Area Council for the warm welcome and maximum cooperation the agency has received so far and used the opportunity to reiterate the agency’s commitment to Small and Medium Enterprises (SME) development.
“The agency will do everything within her capacity to make entrepreneurship known in every house hold within the Area Council,” he said.
Mr. Ezirigwe added that some of the numerous objectives the liaison office set to achieve include improving service delivery, provision of business development services in Area Councils and expansion of the agency’s clientele base by bringing services to the people at the grassroots
On his part, Manager, Corporate Services, AEA, Mustapha Shaba, enlightened the invited guests on the numerous benefits the agency’s clients benefit ranging from business planning, access to workspace, business counseling, and a host of others.
He also briefed them on the agency’s programmes, projects and activities, and the services to be brought to people of the Area Council.
