The Abuja Enterprise Agency in collaboration with National Automotive Design and Development Council is set to make the Abuja Automotive Complex a reality.
The Managing Director of Abuja Enterprise Agency Arabi Muhammad Tukur gave a brief on the Agency and its current programmes and activities during a courtesy visit to the Management of the NADDC. The MD/CEO briefed the management on the propose establishment of the FCT Automotive Complex, while stating that the Federal Capital Territory Administration (FCTA) has set aside a land for that purpose.
Arabi further highlighted the areas in which the Agency needs partnership with NADDC technical support towards the establishment of the FCT Automotive Complex, the development of the national automotive sub-sector with respect to the enterprise development component, training and capacity building for the staff and clients of the Agency and other forms of support from the NADDC or other Development partners.
The Director General of the Council Aliyu Jelani in his remarks, welcomed the management of AEA and says that the council is ready to partner with AEA and other development partners to ensure that they take the automotive sub-sector to an achievable milestone. Jelani further advised for a Public Private Partnership to drive the FCT Automotive Complex instead of driving it alone as FCTA.
A committee from both organizations was set up to drive the partnership.
