Abuja Enterprise Agency (AEA), the Federal Capital Territory Administration's (FCTA's) vehicle for Small and Medium Enterprise (SME) development, employment generation, wealth creation and poverty reduction, recently organised a 10 day training programme on Economic Empowerment for HIV Vulnerable Women and Girls. The programme was an initiative of the National Agency for the Control of AIDS (NACA) to commemorate the annual 16 Days Activism against Gender-Based Violence (GBV).

The Permanent Secretary Federal Capital Territory Administration (FCT) Mr Chinyeaka Ohaa, has expressed the administration's willingness to partner with the Abuja Enterprise Agency to impact positively on the Youths in FCT.

He made this disclosure during a courtesy visit to the Agency last week to confirm its readiness for the established MSME One Stop Shop.

In line with the commitment of Federal Government (FG) to wean the country of over- dependence on oil by promoting the development of Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises(MSMEs),Vice President Yemi Osinbanjo has presented grants of over N4 million to 229 market women in the Federal Capital Territory(FCT). The beneficiaries are members of cooperative groups. 

In further move to ensure that wealth is being created and poverty reduced to its barest minimum in the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), Abuja Enterprise Agency (AEA) has trained 110 youths on Photography and Videography.

In line with the mandate to promote entrepreneurship in FCT; Abuja Enterprise Agency (AEA) in partnership with Rabbington Media, organized a one day Facebook training programme, titled "Boost Your Business" on Saturday 24th November, 2018.

The FCT Minister, Malam Muhammad Musa Bello has reiterated the need to mitigate poverty through widening the scope of sustainable economic activities especially among youth in the nation's capital city.

The Abuja Enterprise Agency (AEA) is working closely with businesses to help lessen the effects of Covid 19 pandemic. The Agency through its Credit Risk Management Department has mobilized and stabilized some Widows of the Nigeria Army Ranking Officers Wives Cooperative Society of Karu.

With the sole aim of taking entrepreneurship to the grassroots, Abuja Enterprise Agency  has been trying to set up liaison offices in the six (6) area councils, to this tone, the Agency has officially commissioned the Bwari Area council liaison office. 

Abuja Enterprise Agency (AEA) has successfully carried out a National Business Plan Competition in Abuja. The competition was held in  conjunction with Small & Medium Enterprise Development Agency of Nigeria (SMEDAN) and the Annual Investment Meeting (AIM) Dubai have successfully carried out a National Business Plan Competition in Abuja.  

Hand sanitizers, disinfectants, hand wash, liquid soaps and face masks are no doubt the utmost commodities that have been used since the spread of novel coronavirus in Nigeria and the world generally.
