In the drive for efficient, effective and exceptional service delivery to SMEs in the FCT, the management and staff of the Abuja Enterprise Agency held its 2022 Staff Induction and Re-orientation Program recently.


The programme which was a three (3) day intensive program took place at the Agency’s Auditorium from 25th – 27th of January 2022.


The Ag MD/CEO Mr Shehu Abdulkadir who spoke at the opening ceremony of the programme stressed the need for Team Work and Departmental Synergy. According to him,”individual commitment to a group effort makes team work efficient and effective”. He therefore charged staff members to aspire to be good team player and be more dedicated towards achieving the Agency’s mandate.


To help make retirement a smoother transition, Federal Capital Territory Administration, (FCTA) in collaboration with Abuja Enterprise Agency (AEA) has organized a Pre-retirement training programme for its retired and soon to be retired officers. The programme which will prepare employees approaching retirement on maintaining a productive life after their employment in the Administration.


The pre - retirement training programme which is ongoing at Abuja Enterprise Agency Entrepreneurial complex commenced on the 7th of February and will be concluded on 18th February 2022 will give them the tools to succeed in business.


The Director, Human Resource FCTA, Mal. Muhammed Bashir mni said ' the welfare of their staff after retirement is key hence the need for the retirement training. He elucidated on various business that can be ventured in upon retirement such as  fish farming, poultry, crop production or even cattle rearing on a large or small scale hence the need for this training'.

Abuja Enterprise Agency (AEA), the Federal Capital Territory Administration's (FCTA's) vehicle for Small and Medium Enterprise (SME) development, employment generation, wealth creation and poverty reduction, recently organised a 10 day training programme on Economic Empowerment for HIV Vulnerable Women and Girls. The programme was an initiative of the National Agency for the Control of AIDS (NACA) to commemorate the annual 16 Days Activism against Gender-Based Violence (GBV).

The Permanent Secretary Federal Capital Territory Administration (FCT) Mr Chinyeaka Ohaa, has expressed the administration's willingness to partner with the Abuja Enterprise Agency to impact positively on the Youths in FCT.

He made this disclosure during a courtesy visit to the Agency last week to confirm its readiness for the established MSME One Stop Shop.

The Managing Director of Abuja Enterprise Agency (AEA), Muhammad Tukur Arabi has pledged to partner with the Chairman of Gwagwalada Area Council, Adamu Danze to train the youths of the Council in various skills and empower them in their endeavors.

In line with the commitment of Federal Government (FG) to wean the country of over- dependence on oil by promoting the development of Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises(MSMEs),Vice President Yemi Osinbanjo has presented grants of over N4 million to 229 market women in the Federal Capital Territory(FCT). The beneficiaries are members of cooperative groups. 

In further move to ensure that wealth is being created and poverty reduced to its barest minimum in the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), Abuja Enterprise Agency (AEA) has trained 110 youths on Photography and Videography.

In line with the mandate to promote entrepreneurship in FCT; Abuja Enterprise Agency (AEA) in partnership with Rabbington Media, organized a one day Facebook training programme, titled "Boost Your Business" on Saturday 24th November, 2018.

In order to alert and develop existing and aspiring entrepreneurs on the need to direct more focus towards diversification of Nigerian export trade, the Abuja Enterprise Agency (AEA) has organized a 3 day free seminar for small and Medium Entrepreneurs (SME) within the FCT.

The FCT Minister, Malam Muhammad Musa Bello has reiterated the need to mitigate poverty through widening the scope of sustainable economic activities especially among youth in the nation's capital city.

We are focused on the development of Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (MSME) and aims to assist new and existing entrepreneurs to overcome obstacles to growth through access to finance, proper business planning and developing entrepreneurship skills.
